Mimi's Cornbread

This is my mother-in-law's recipe and it is hands down, the BEST cornbread on the planet. End of story.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup flour
1 cup corn meal
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup veg. oil

DIRECTIONS:
Combine dry ingredients. Add egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Pour into greased pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

What I want to know is how you got your cornbread to look like that! They are like perfect little squares--how'd you do that?

Aha! Now that you mention it, I seem to remember some brownies that said person brought to Adventures one night--they were perfect squares too! Allison and I thought they looked real cool. I'll have to check out that site.

Yes! 2/3 cup sugar. I think that's why I like this so much-it tastes like cake :)
